“I’ve been working today since 8 o’clock. I book in advance and I’m always booked ahead…I think reasons for getting tattoos are as many as there are people getting them. I think the big answer is for self-expression, but some people just want to look cool…I personally like working on people that are serious about what they’re doing – people that have some meaning behind their body art…I was 18 when I got my first tattoo. I could’ve gone to my mom and bullied her into letting me get one when I was younger, but I didn’t want to have anybody’s permission. I wanted it to be mine…I like having an interesting clientele. I like learning something new everyday. I decided to settle in Boone because I knew that, with the college kids and the type of people that live here, my cliental would take my art all over the world and, you know what, they do.”
