RBC Centura Honors Local Teacher
In Tribute To Teachers
Program
RBC Centura Bank today presented Rosemary Mock a Tribute
to Teachers award at Hardin Park Elementary in Boone.
Mock was selected as a winning finalist in the banks
recent Tribute to Teachers initiative, a program
designed in conjunction with the ACC to recognize and reward
elementary and middle school teachers that demonstrate exceptional
community and classroom leadership. Presenting the award
was David Jamison, manager of RBC Centuras King Street
Branch and Rachel Copeland, account manager at the banks
Boone Mall branch.
Mock was chosen from more than 150 nominated teachers throughout
the southeast in which RBC Centura operates. Students, students
parents and other residents were asked to visit RBC Centuras
website to nominate their teacher of choice and express
how he or she has demonstrated exceptional leadership in
the classroom and in the broader community. Four finalists
were selected among those nominated in each of the five
geographic regions under which RBC Centura has organized
its operations.

winning nomination detailed her commitment to educating
students, encouraging involvement by parents and serving
as a mentor and role model for fellow teachers.
In acknowledgment and support of Mocks community leadership,
she received $500 in Classroom Cash, which is
to be used on classroom learning tools, such as art supplies,
visual learning aids, and workbooks that compliment required
textbooks.
Mrs Mockss students are fortunate to have a
leader of her caliber at the head of the classroom,
