Jennifer Allen and Katie Gahr of Builders Mutual Insurance Company presents the award for Best HBA Internet Website to Darrel Hamilton, Dick Workman and Kelley St. Germain of the Ashe County Home Builders Association.

Ashe County Home Builders Win State Award

Over 350 building industry professionals from around the state gathered at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte on Sept. 15 for the annual STARS Awards and the Ashe County Home Builders Association did not come home empty handed.

Winners received recognition in categories that represented builders, developers, sales and marketing professionals, interior merchandisers, web designers, and others in the home builder industry.

Sponsored by the North Carolina Home Builders Association, the STARS Awards pays tribute to the best the home building industry has to offer.

This year, the Ashe County Home Builders won a STARS award for the Best Home Builder Association Website (www.ashehomebuilders.com) in the state of North Carolina. The winning website was designed by St. Germain & Associates (www.yourmarketingneedshelp.com) and sponsored by The Hardwood Company, who also won a STARS award for their website www.thehardwoodcompany.com in the Associate Member category.

Darrel Hamilton, president of the Ashe County Home Builders Association, was overjoyed in accepting the award. “This was a true honor to win in what was a very tough category and demonstrates the level of commitment that our members have made to make our Home Builders Association one of the best in the state.”

In unrelated but equally exciting news, it was also announced by the National Home Builders Association that the Ashe County Home Builders Association is one of seven local organizations in the country to be considered for its top Membership Growth Award. The award winners will be announced at the end of the year.

The Ashe County Home Builders meet the second Thursday of every month at the Ashe Services for Aging Building off Ray Taylor Road on 180 Chattyrob Lane. October’s meeting will be on Thursday, October 13 and will start at 6 p.m. All contractors and people affiliated with the home construction field are invited to attend.
