4th Annual “Midnight At The OASIS” Celebration, April 28 OASIS, Inc. (Opposing Abuse with Service, Information, and Shelter) will hold the 4th Annual Midnight at the OASIS celebration at the Green Park Inn in Blowing Rock on Friday, April 28 from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The previous years’ events have sold out and raised over $40,000 to support the client services OASIS provides victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence. The evening will feature a silent auction, live music, and culinary delights prepared by Claudia Clarke. Over 250 guests will crowd the floor dancing to music provided by the local band, Laditude. There will also be the opportunity to bid on a variety of goods and services. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses there will be over 30 auction items including: artwork, handmade jewelry, gift certificates, and home décor. The significance of Midnight at the OASIS has grown over the years both as a community event and source of funding. Jennifer Herman the Director of OASIS explained, “This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Due to federal budget cuts, the funds raised at this event are a major part of our yearly funding, allowing us to continue providing education and services in our community. We invite everyone in the community to attend this important event.” Tickets for this event are $50.00 each and $35.00 of the purchase price is tax-deductible.
