Southern Accent hosts music event
in Elk Park

Bluegrass and Gospel favorites
Southern Accent will host the Autumn Jam in Elk Park
this weekend.

The public is invited to the Southern Accent Bluegrass Gospel
Autumn Jam on Saturday, October 25, at the Old House in Elk
Park, NC. The location is approximately 25 minutes west of Boone
just off of 321N.
The event will take place starting at 10 a.m. and last until
2 p.m., and there is no charge for attending the jam. An alternate
site is available should there be unfavorable weather conditions.
The organizers are excited about getting folks out to participate
and will make everyone feel welcomed.
A lunch will be provided with choice of chili or soup, a dessert,
and coffee. Please bring your instrument, a chair, drink, and
some gospel songs/hymns with you. If you dont play or
sing, you are still invited to come and listen.
Children are invited to join parents, as there will be someone
available for childrens games and activities.
The building the jam will be held at usually is used as an indoor
yard sale and has some antiques and other interesting items
for sale. Visitors are invited to come and look around, too!
Directions
Take Hwy 421 out of Boone going towards Mountain City, TN. Take
a left on Hwy 321 at Skateworld. Turn left onto Buckeye Road
at the Watauga/Avery county line. Turn right onto Phillip Road,
and the jam is being held at 195 Phillip Road.
