Appalachian Chorale presents ‘Magnificat’ Dec. 9

The Appalachian Chorale celebrates its 33rd season with a performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Magnificat” on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Rosen Concert Hall in the Broyhill Music Center on the ASU campus. Music director Joby Bell will conduct the chorale, soloists and student orchestra.

The Appalachian Chorale was founded in 1975. Membership is open without audition to all interested singers. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening of ASU fall and spring semesters. Inquiries welcome at (828) 262-6467 or at belljr@appstate.edu.

‘Messiah’ Singalong Dec. 14
The fourth annual “Messiah” Singalong will be held Sunday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. in the Rosen Concert Hall in the Broyhill Music Center on the ASU campus. The audience will be invited to sing the chorus parts from the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah,” including “Hallelujah.”
