An Art-to-Art Conversation

78-year-old artist and author Faith Ringgold meets with Appalachian State University art students after her lecture in the Blue Ridge Ballroom last Wednesday evening. 350 students, faculty and community members attended the lecture and slideshow titled Faith Ringgold: More Than 50 Years. During the lecture Ringgold showed the audience more than 200 images from her career and talked about her experiences as an African-American woman artist in the last half century. The free public lecture was presented by the Catherine Smith Gallery and the ASU Office of Multicultural Student Development. Photo by Jeff Eason.
