The Lee Boys:
Sacred Steel for the 21st Century.

Sacred steel rhythm and rockers The Lee Boys will perform at the Boone Saloon on Thursday, December 4th starting at 10:30 p.m. Sacred steel is a form of music that started when African-American churches in Philadelphia and Florida adopting the pedal steel guitar for their worship bands in the 1930s and 40s. Younger members of these churches have turned the sacred steel tradition into the basis of a soulful secular music that transcends genres. The Lee Boys play a powerful blend of R&B, gospel, hip-hop, rock and country driven by the pedal steel guitar. They’ve even been known to drop some Led Zeppelin tunes into their magical sets.
