Charity: Vino would be keen-o for caring gift

Local charity Wine To Water helps provide clean drinking water to developing nations.

Worldwide, 1.1 billion people do not have access to clean water, according to The United Nations Environment Programme.

Wine To Water, a local non-profit that provides clean water internationally, will participate in the Downtown Boone Art Crawl Friday, Dec. 5 beginning at 5:30 p.m., with a free wine and cheese tasting.

Guests can celebrate the season of giving by purchasing wine and photography at Wine To Water. The proceeds will help supply clean water to thirsty people around the globe.

The Downtown Boone Art Crawl is held the first Friday of every month.

Wine To Water is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization located at 703 West King Street in Boone. It serves as a Christian, non-evangelical organization whose goal is to provide clean water and sanitation to people in developing nations.

For more information about Wine To Water and their participation in the Downtown Boone Art Crawl, contact Annie Clawson at (828) 406-1955.
