storytelling held on Nov. 22 at the Watauga County Public
Library.

the Watauga Arts Council and the N.C. Arts Council, the
event also included a Liar’s Contest later that evening
at Our Daily Bread in downtown Boone. Winners are, from
left, Curt Hicks (Funniest Tale), Shelby Reagan (Tallest
Tale) and Orville Hicks (Best Overall Liar).
