Orange you glad the fruit has arrived?

The Boone Sunrise Rotary Club announced today that fruit orders from Florida Indian Groves is arriving this week.

The fruit was picked and boxed last Saturday and will be delivered to Legends on the Appalachian State campus located at 190 Hardin St., across the street from the Red Onion Cafe.Distribution of the fruit will be Thursday, Dec. 11, and Friday, Dec. 12, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m,. and Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. This is the sixth year that the Boone Sunrise Rotary Club has held its Great Fruit for a Great Cause fundraiser in support of local community projects. The club was joined in the sale again by the Interact Club of Watauga High School. More than 800 cases of fruit were ordered through advanced sales.

The club will have around 25 extra cases of fruit for sale at the distribution location at Legends. For more information, call Ken Cone at (828) 773-1373.
