Christmas trinket salutes Charity
Horse Show
The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce unveiled its 14th Christmas
Ornament in the ongoing series which salutes Blowing Rock icons. This
years ornament honors the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show,
one of the great events in the village since 1923. Rita
Wiseman, a member of the Charity Horse Show Foundation Board,
was pleased with the ornament, saying, The Horse Show
is an important part of Blowing Rock. Its nice for
the event to be honored in this way.
The Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show is the oldest continuous
horse show in America and has an economic impact on the village
which totals in the millions. Charles Hardin, the Chambers
Executive Director said, The Charity Horse Show is truly
Blowing Rock Institution. For more than eighty years it has
made a positive economic impact on our town.

color. Past ornaments have included 2007s Mitford
Ornament, Tweetsie Railroad, Mt. Bethel Church, Mayview Lake,
