Eight blood drives planned in January

The Watauga County Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold the following blood drives in the coming weeks:

• Friday, Jan. 2, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at Boone United Methodist Church’s Life Family Center. The drive is being sponsored by Masonic Snow Lodge No. 363. For more information, contact master Mason Tom Redmond at (828) 963-0551.

• Tuesday, Jan. 6, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. there will be a community blood drive at the Holiday Inn Express. The bloodmobile is being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. For more information, contact the Watauga County chapter at (828) 264-8226.

•Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff in the Watauga Industrial Park. For more information, contact the Anita Norris at (828) 263-5472.

• Thursday, Jan 15, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Wellness Center. For more information, contact Jodi Cash at 266-1063.

• Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hayes Performing Art Center in Blowing Rock. The drive is sponsored by the Blowing Rock Rotary Club. For more information, contact Judy Domer at (828) 963-7507.
