office prepare to wrap some of the presents they collected
during their special shopping excursion.

Dr. Michael Mayhew and other members of his dental office in
Boone elected to forego an office Christmas party and shop for
several needy families.
The office planned the shopping event around a scavenger hunt
allowing the teams of staff shoppers to develop a plan through
cooperative efforts in team building.
The staff was dressed in shirts which noted “The Magic
of Giving Begins With A Smile.”
As they progressed from store to store doing their shopping
and finding their scavenger items in the community, the staff
noted that “it was a fun and very rewarding experience!”
In addition, while the staff was at Walmart store, they met
several members of the WHS football and the WHS varsity basketball
teams shopping for needy families as well.
Both of the high school teams earned their shopping money
doing various fundraising events
“It is particularly rewarding to see our young people
get involved in such worthwhile causes,” said Dr. Michael
Mayhew.
The dentistry office includes adult and child orthondontists
and pediatric dentists. In addition to Mayhew, there are Dr.
Nicole Scheffler, Dr. Stacy A. Conn and Dr. Martha V. Hardaway.
