Frontier Natural Gas seeks rate reduction
from state

Frontier Natural Gas announces a regulatory rate reduction filing for natural gas.

The company filed for the 30-cent reduction in the rates with the N.C. Utility Commission on Dec. 13, 2008. This will be the third filing for a reduction in rates since September 2008 if approved and represents a 22 percent reduction in gas prices in the last 30 days if approved, making the current rate $1.07 and a 63 percent reduction since September 2008 for residential.

The reduction rate would include all residential and commercial tariff rates.

“Frontier is pleased to be able to reduce their rates and continues to provide relief on the cost of energy to the public with safe, reliable and cost efficient energy,” a spokesperson for the company said.

If the rate reduction is approved by the N.C. Utility Commission, it will go into effect Jan. 1, 2009.

Contact Frontier Natural Gas at 1-800-537-2545 for more information.
