Psst! Scaled-down Pssghetti’s is coming to Boone

King Street will be welcoming a new addition to its streets Wednesday, March 25, with Pssghetti’s Ready to Go.

Grace Howe, general manager of the new Pssghetti’s Ready to Go, is waiting for next Wednesday to arrive, so she can start serving Italian cuisine to passers-by in downtown Boone.

It’s situated in the former location of the Tin Can, and Pssghetti’s Ready to Go’s cozy atmosphere is the perfect place for hungry shoppers and college students to pick up a quick bite to eat on their way to their next shopping adventure or to class.

Pssghetti’s Ready to Go will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and chicken piccata. They will feature different meatballs throughout the week. They will also be serving breakfast sandwiches and offer a special coffee deal called “The Poor Man’s Coffee.” Every cup of decaf, regular and the flavor of the day will be $1.

Grace Howe, the manager of the new Psghetti’s Ready to Go, is excited about the new take-out location, which will complement its parent restaurant in Blowing Rock.

“Come in and take the food you want,” she said, referring to the new Boone shop. “All the food will be prepared and packaged in Blowing Rock.”

The food will be prepared by Pssghetti’s restaurant’s well-recognized kitchen staff, led by Jordan Allen, executive chief.

“He’s an amazing chef,” Howe said.

There is no seating available at the Boone location, so customers are encouraged to come pick out their meal and enjoy the great outdoors of Boone’s downtown.

“We have a microwave available here, where they can heat up their food, or they can take it home,” Howe said.

In addition to its mainstays, Pssghetti’s Ready to Go will be offering Italian gelato, sorbet and hand-dipped ice cream.

“We will offer three flavors of sorbet, three flavors of ice cream and three flavors of gelato,” Howe said. “We plan on switching them out regularly.”

Pssghetti’s Ready to Go will not be serving the restaurant’s full menu, but will offer a wide variety of Italian cuisine to choose from.

As the days slowly grow longer, the streets of downtown Boone will be crowded with locals and visitors enjoying the beautiful scenery of King Street. Why not stop in to grab some ice cream or Italian gelato on a beautiful spring day?

If a sit-down dinner sounds more appealing, Pssghetti’s full-service restaurant is just a quick drive down highway U.S. 321 in Blowing Rock. Offering fine wines and scrumptious Italian cuisine, Pssghetti’s must be on the list for a weekend treat. Their pasta is homemade in their pasta room. Prices range from $7 to $22.
