Take Back the Night

Community members, faculty and staff of Appalachian State University participate in the Take Back the Night rally and march on April 8. The march began at the Duck Pond on campus and circled through Boone and back to I.G. Greer Hall. Participants carried signs and chanted throughout the event. Take Back the Night was a part of campus and community observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Boone Take Back the Night was planned and coordinated by Boone Area NOW (National Organization for Women), ASU campus chapter of NOW, Opposing Abuse with Services, Information and Shelter (OASIS) and local community members.
