Hundreds Celebrate Week of the Young Child

when the Ashe County Partnership for Children held the celebration honoring the Week of the Young Child. More than 460 people attended the event from 4:30 to 7 p.m. to take part in the festivities or simply enjoy some pizza.

"I think it went really well," said Jaime Irwin, Child Care Resource and Referral Director for the Partnership. "We've had a lot of positive feedback from our child care providers and parents."

The event was aimed at children ages zero to five-years-old, and Irwin added that they "appreciate everyone from the community coming out and participating."
