when the Ashe County Partnership for Children held the celebration
honoring the Week of the Young Child. More than 460 people attended
the event from 4:30 to 7 p.m. to take part in the festivities
or simply enjoy some pizza.
"I think it went really well," said Jaime Irwin, Child
Care Resource and Referral Director for the Partnership. "We've
had a lot of positive feedback from our child care providers
and parents."
The event was aimed at children ages zero to five-years-old,
and Irwin added that they "appreciate everyone from the
community coming out and participating."
