Kat Williams performs live for May 23 benefit

Kat Williams

On May 23, jazz singer Kat Williams’ bold voice will once again fill the Carolina Theatre with people, song and soul, as she performs in the Spruce Pine historic theatre.

Although compared to legends from the past like Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald at times,

the talent she holds and the range and intensity of her voice is like no other.

Filled with a passion for song, animated expressions, a spirited sense of humor and remarkable laugh, Williams’ talent even earned her a spot on “America’s Got Talent” and performances for openings and parties for names like Jay Leno, Robin Williams and more.

Her next performance at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Spruce Pine will be Saturday, May 23, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.thecarolinabarndance.org or at the following Spruce Pine locations: Mayland Community College, Timberline Properties, Mayland Printing, and Rivers Edge Outfitters.  Advance tickets are $15 and $20 at the door.

This event benefits the Carolina Theatre Preservation Association and is sponsored by Mayland Community College. For more information, contact CTPA president Davis Godwin at (828) 766-6181.
