Massage therapists across the High Country have declared
May Massage for Hunger Month. They will be providing
chair massage at Bare Essentials Natural Market on Boone Heights
Drive.
Bare Essentials on Wednesday morning. The massages, which
began on Saturday and will run through the end of May,
are being given to raise money for the Hunger and Health
Coalition. As of May 6, $557 had been raised. Photo

For just $1 per minute, people can receive a guilt-free massage,
knowing that 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to the Hunger
and Health Coalition. Twelve professional massage therapists will
be participating, as well as the graduating students of Caldwell
Community College and Technical Institutes massage therapy
program.
Times and therapists providing the service include the following:
May 7, 4-7 p.m., Nancy Greene; May 8, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Ben
and Cheryl Simpson; May 10, 12:30-4:30 p.m., Selina Giacinto;
May 11, 11 a.m.-1p.m., Morgan Winkler; May 13, 9 -11 a.m., Diana
Latendresse; May 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Liz Pinske; May 20, 9-11a.m.
Diana Latendresse and 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Caroline Briggs; and May
22, 3-6 p.m., Lauri Whyte.
In addition, the following massage therapists are donating a portion
of their office proceeds for the month of May to the Hunger Coalition:
Sharon Parton, Tim Winecoff, Kirsten Tiedemann, Lauri Whyte, Eileen
Laird, and the Serenity Day Spa.
