Appalachian State University Department of Theatre and Dance
presents the week-long camp Cre8tive Drama June 29- July 2.
The camp is coordinated by Gordon Hensley, an assistant professor
and coordinator of theater education in the department. Cre8tive
Drama creates a safe environment to enhance language practice,
develop creative thinking, explore different cultures, and gives
a basic opportunity experience the features of theatre.
Children and teens will be challenged to think creatively
and encouraged to work collaboratively while exploring theatre
and movement. This event is presented as part of the departments
Programs for Kids initiative.
This camp includes programming for three age groups: 6-8, 9-12
and 13-16. A team of senior theatre education majors will
assist Hensley in the fun-filled lessons and activities for
the week. Registration starts May 1.
Pre-registration and prepayment is required. The cost is $75.
Each age grouping is limited to 15 participants. Forms
