The Watauga County Humane Society is looking for the face
of upcoming Adopt-a-Cat month.
The top-model cat will be featured on the Humane Society Web site,
Facebook page and the month’s promotional material.
A digital photo of a cat or kitten, with no humans in the shot,
is required. Other information needed for a complete entry includes:
name, mailing address, e-mail address and phone number of pet
owner; name, age, gender, favorite toy and favorite treat of the
cat; the how, why and where owner acquired the cat; and 50 words
or less describing why the pet should be the Adopt-a-Cat spokescat.
Incomplete or submissions exceeding the guidelines will be disqualified.
Entries should be e-mailed to contest@wataugahumanesociety.org
with “photo contest” in the subject line.
The judges will be shelter staff and volunteers. Entries will
be judged on the basis of originality, artistic quality and the
description accompanying the photo. The winning kitty will receive
a cat condo/climbing tower.
The deadline for entries is Friday by 5 p.m. The winner will be
notified on Tuesday.
